I thank the oh so very very long winter here in the UK because we get SO excited about Spring! I’m gleefully packing away my browns and burgandies and warm layers, and sewing up brighter, fresher spring shades.
I am daring to leave the socks at home, and I am ignoring my poor cold ankles (its still a bit chilly here in the old UK).
My starting point is fresh nautically-insipred key pieces – blue denim trousers, breton style t-shirts, and kimono jackets. With pops of yellow if you please. This is the first spring my sewing skills have been up to an entire outfit, yay!
Patterns:
Simple Sew Shannon Collection t-shirt
Fabric:
Gold metallic cotton (sold out, but Merchant and Mills do very similar ones that are excellent) and striped jersey from Oh Sew Ditsy, Hove, who are still adding fabrics to the site, so if you can’t find it there, give them a call on 01273 270087 Oh Sew Ditsy
Denim from Ditto, Brighton, Ditto fabrics
Earrings are from Kalee JonesKalee Jones Etsy shop
Stunning! I wish I could do the trendy bare ankles thing but I just can’t cope with the cold at all! I was back to gloves today and a blue tinge to all my extremities!

Thank you! My ankles are freezing, I can only manage an hour or two then the thick woolly socks and boots go on and ruin the look. Worth it for warm ankles.
