Day 4 of Me Made May and I’m feeling comfy and ready for some kung-fu action!
Its a lovely day, but a bit chilly in the shade so I popped my favourite jumper on 🙂
Belt – easy-peasy – I hemmed 1.6m grosgrain from Merchant and Mills
Sewists may like to know the following details:
My measurements: Waist 29′, Hips 39″, Height 5’6″
Culottes:
Pattern: Named Patterns Ninni Culottes, in size 10
Fabric: Lightweight denim (4 oz?? Can’t fully remember) from Ditto Fabrics in Brighton
Modifications:
Beltloops (I think I used pattern pieces from Megan Neilsen Dawn Jeans, but its super-easy to just wing it)
Pockets – following a brilliant tutorial on whatkatiesews
Vest:
Pattern: Merchant and Mills Bantam vest, size 10, from their Workbook.
Fabric: In an organic white cotton (given to me) I took in the side seams a tad extravagantly, then the vest shrank in the wash, so its a bit tight on the bust!
Jumper:
Pattern: T-shirt pattern actually! Its the Peak T-shirt, in size 34-36 from Wendy Ward’s book Sewing with Knitted Fabrics.
Fabric: Organic knitted jersey from Abelstroff
Mods –
Overall length – shortened by c4″/10cm, to sit on my hip bones.
Long-sleeve length – shortened by c8″/20cm to about 2″ below my elbows. Possibly out of necessity because I squeezed this out of 1m of fabric!
